The Lonely Soul

Emptiness looms, depth abundant

Alone the feeling is redundant

The life of someone with so much to share

No one to share it with too much to bear

Misunderstood is highly understated

The fortress of solitude never debated

So much to offer, so much to give, so many tears

So much to bestow, so much to live, wisdom beyond its years

Utterly unaffected by the banality of life

A lonely soul overwhelmed with strife

Who bothers to care, to see, to understand

Loneliness in supply meets the demand

Blinded by the search for truth

A tree without limbs isolation at the root

Who walks, who talks, who laughs with the lonely soul

Abandoned from the outside the feeling is cold

Stories untold, feelings locked inside

The pulse of the lonely soul ___________
